How to be Creative When Planting Tulip Bulbs
Planting tulip bulbs can be a highly enjoyable and creative activity, especially when you educate yourself on the craft of tulip bulb planting.
The types of tulips and the time of year that you first plant tulip bulbs depend upon where you live in the world. Knowing when to plant them and where is very helpful. It also depends upon what results you would expect from tulip planting. Usually those who plant tulips like to arrange them in groups by bloom time and/or flower height.
Those who plant tulip bulbs can experiment with planting them in a variety of arrangements. Usually these arrangements consist of similar types of tulip plants of different colors grouped together. These bulbs are usually placed in a small cluster or medium-sized flower block formation.
One way of planting tulip bulbs is usually for those who prefer the style of the single tulip flower. In this case, approximately 5 to 11 tulip bulbs of varying colors no more than a few inches a part from one another in a small group. When fully bloomed, these flowers appear as a group of people standing near each other and socializing.
Another example of tulip planting is when a block of about 20 of the same type of tulip such as a double tulip are all planted within a few inches a part of one another. These are the ones that appear to stand on guard along either sides of a walkway, a larger botanical flower bed, or the edge of the lawn. These types of tulip flower beds are often seen in city parks as well. Blocks of pink tulips are found in parks and botanical gardens.
If you choose to plant tulips in multiple colors it is highly recommended that you prepare your tulip bed by color scheme. This will help make your tulip planning area more attractive while the tulips are in full bloom. For example, if you decide to have a multiple-colored tulip garden you would want to plant them in contrasting colors next to each other. You can also plant tulip bulbs with complementary colors next to each other.
If you do not know what complimentary colors or contrasting colors will look like when fully bloomed you can look at pictures, or even real live flower shows to get some ideas. Furthermore, you can just use your imagination. For instance, you can think of how you dress in the morning, and how you match your clothes together. A similar principle is often used when planting tulip bulbs. You mix and match together a variety of tulip bulbs in order to create the look that you want for your tulip flower garden.
Now, if you are a person who does not feel that you have a high fashion sense, or any artistic ability, don’t worry. You can learn to be more creative if you want to. This applies mainly to people who always have wanted to be more artistic but never have taken the time to develop themselves in that way.
If you are a person who would like to expand your creative potential one way to do it is to experiment with planting tulip bulbs. Likewise, if you think you would enjoy planting tulip bulbs to make a beautiful flower garden this may be the craft for you.
